Fished Dunbar today from 1pm--5. Water was extremely clear and cold. Caught 3 fish, one exceptionally colorful. Didnt see anyone else fishing. White wooly bugger caught the first two fish, the last caught on a little black stonefly dry.Hopefully this picture will attach. Buried my car in the snow on the Gamelands access road.Me and another person had to have the Dubar township road crew pull us out. Still a great day

That is a spectacular brook trout!

Read "Dunbar heads up" in main forum. I believe you and dasofas may have met or atleast seen each other.

Bad timing ! Unfortunately I was getting stuck about the same time as his post. There was truck stranded further up the road at the same time as me. And when I was leaving several hours later, another young guy was stuck in there. According to the Dunbar township road crew, they were going to work on that road today.

beautiful fish. Probably a holdover with those colors.

I've caught wild brookies in that stream, but I don't think they get that big! I might have to give Dunbar a few hours when I visit my parent this weekend.

Awesome Brook Trout! Been a very long time since i caught one that nice. Awesome! :-D

That is one awsome brookie. Best pic on the forum in some time.

I fished the stream on Wednesday (3-17). The roadway was clear and most of the snow had melted. Unfortunately, it melted into the creek which was very high and fast. While it was not too cloudy, it was still very difficult fishing. Neither I nor any of the other fishers I spoke with had any success at all.

Things will be better soon.

I also fished dunbar as well as meadow run and would have to agree. water was clear enough but moving way to fast to be able to fish properly. It also didn't help that the stockings last saturday were cancelled. didnt really see any fish swimming around. Meadow run was absolutely roaring. Should be good next week though...
