I fished the FFO section from 11-3. Water was slightly high and almost completely clear. Air temps in the upper 60s and water in the low 40s. A few black stoneflies were around but no fish were rising. I was able to bring over 20 to hand by nymphing deep with egg patterns. Only rainbow trout today. I believe a few were holdovers. The fish were sluggish in the deep holes with cold water. The more shallow holes and runs produced aggressive fish. All-in-all, a great day in the PA wilds. What a perfect weekend to get away.

My father and I fished the upper end of the FFO. We had the stream to ourselves for 4 hours! There were several cars parked at the fairgrounds towards the lower end of the reg. waters.

crs5942, last year the gate to the fairground was always closed, and also the gate at municipal building, is there another access to the north of the fairgrounds.

We ended up parking along the road near the municipal building. The gate was opened, but we were afraid that we would get locked in. We parked across the street. I think it was private property, but we had seen some others park there previously. It was not easy finding a place to pull off the road due to the narrow shoulder.
