I haven't had the opportunity to fish Donegal this year so I thought I would give it a try. Hit the water around 9:30am at the lower end of the regs. Landed a brown and a rainbow on an EHC. Missed about 10. Hooked several including a large brown from under an overhanger tree branch but could not get them to stay on the hook. Left about 12:30.
Arrived at the Tully around 1:30 at the paper mill flats. Great flow and temp was nice and cool. I failed to improve my hooking abilities from the morning, missing about six. The fish were still keyed in on tricos, of which I had none. All my hits were on a BWO and missed another on an ant. Saw a few other anglers but would not say it was crowded.
