Fished the the FFO section of Donegal today near the horse barn. Fished from around 11:30-4 and had the stream to myself besides another gentleman 100 yards downstream for a couple hours. The rain never got too hard so it was enjoyable and very productive. The water was higher than usual but not muddy. I stopped keeping count after the third fish because takes came so quickly after that one. Caught the first one on a black wooly bugger, the second (brown) on a green beadhead flashabugger, the third on a green weenie and all the rest on sucker spawn. I probably landed 15-20, lost around that many, and missed many more. Hook sets were bad in the faster water and many of the takes were very soft so I didn't always know I had a fish on right away. I got frustrated with my inability to land most of the fish that hit but it kept me busy so it was a good day. Nothing very big, probably the biggest around 14" but all very good fighters and lots of jumping.
