Donegal Creek Lancaster Count 3/14

I fished Donegal with a friend from about 9-1:30. We saw a few midges and a couple caddis but no risers. Between us we got about a dozen. There didn't seem to be many fish upstream of 23 in the meadow but better numbers way up in the woods. Briefly saw a bunch of guys upstream, but almost as soon as they appeared the were gone. Weird. Black buggers were the only thing that worked. Every fish we caught was on the bugger. It was a great day to be out.

I spent several hours on Donegal this afternoon with a few friends. We managed only six between us but there was a fair amount of angling traffic. Black buggers and suckered spawn were the ticket. Sparse bugs coming off, no risers. There are some really nice size fish in the stream, and for the first time that I can remember, they put golden rainbows in a FFO stretch.
