I started fishing there some time in the evening. The water was high and muddy. Maybe 200 feet up from the lower section is a dam that's about 20-30 long, it's so thick and dense I could walk across it. The whole section above the dam is flooded and has no fishable spots for maybe 100-200 feet. I tried BH wooly bugger caught nothing which was no big deal. Oh and the water easily could go over my head in some spots, that was fun 🙂

First time out this year.

The whole length of the creek (and headwaters) received anywhere from 3-6" of rain on Monday during intense, localized thunderstorms. The creek was "blown out" earlier this week and will probably continue to be muddy and off color at least through the end of the weekend...

If you go back there be careful of the briars in regards to your waders. The only time I ever went there I got skunked and ripped my waders. I was very excited to try a stream so close to my house but have been soured on the experience. Very peaceful back there though.
