Depending on the Flows in eight days

Allegedly today is the last day until maybe Wednesday for any significant rain. I'm also hoping because of the higher gradient it becomes fishable sooner due to the topography. We will see how it all plays out.

Higher gradient streams usually go down more quickly, plus they don't get as cloudy as a lot of other streams. That's if the rain even becomes an issue. A lot of times the fishing is better right after a shower. Like Joe said, sometimes these storms move through quickly too.

Yes I remember my time in the cascades n elsewhere like that with the lack of exposed dirt in the creeks n rivers would remain clear. They would muddy but it took a lot to do it.

I knew I would be limited on where and how I could swing up here. This is great water brought one 8" bow to hand but saw two 16" bows walking out of the creek. 😂

The flow is perfect and you can tell the flows are up because the water is in the grass of the small islands.

Having spent yesterday afternoon on Pine Creek with a local from northern Lycoming County it was clear that the mid-week deluge of rain along the Northern Tier did nothing to improve the current fishing conditions. The water up there is quite cold as the heavy rain fell when the air temp was in the low 40's. All the small streams are running well now, but they are contributing cold water wherever they end up flowing.

wow the storm must of hit really strange with the rain. It's bizarre some times how the rain can effect one stream but not another. Thank you for the intel

The cfs of the creek was so much different than yesterday. I was able to swing up one tiger trout. Umm this is a new kinda trout for me. It was maybe 10" long and man those things got teefs. Tore my mini dace to shreds.

The only way I was able to hook a fish was with casts from 25 to 35 feet.

I'm hiking tomorrow and then fishing again Wednesday.

I have a screen grab of the trout but mind you it stinks lol.

Uppers 60s feels a whole lot better than nearly 90 this morning. I'm making coffee and hitting the road to go hiking a small section of the MST. No fishing today.

Tomorrow will be a different story be well friends.

Went below a dam and swung up 5 bows on a single hander. Life is good currently it's raining time to drink at camp 😂

Glad I packed some cold gear. It's chilly in the valley now if I could just warm up my waders before putting them back on. 😂

Ok a wee Brookie and a few Bows today. I'm going to give the lads a break until 1900. The streamer size they have been loving are 12s. Trees have eaten the flies I brought. My only sizes left are tens so umm we will see how this goes.

I think they will be to big. All the minnows I saw today had been only maybe 2" long.

I tied them in traditional colors. The only variants where olive over white, grey over white, and the loved them all on the swing.

The creek has 30" inches of viz anything deeper than that the holes, slots, chutes, and all others are emerald green.

Side note it pleases me immensely that in this section I don't see a lot of evidence of agricultural run off aka weeds and algae

Their are some tweeks I will do next time. A better leader set up and more #12 streamers 😂 thank you it was a stellar trip for me.

I appreciated your casting technique in the footage; & especially the 'down & across' swings.
I wet fly/streamer fish for trout more than I used to. I am far from an expert, but, really enjoy being able to score when hatches are non-existant using wets.
