I'm a month late to posting this report but thought others would enjoy the fish and scenery. I've fished this river over a dozen times over the years and I managed to orchestrate another work trip there last month. I was only in AK for 2 days but I managed to catch a bunch of grayling one evening. All on grey dun catskill style dries (16's). In past years, I've typically visited in Aug so this was the first time in June so I wasn't sure what to expect WRT hatches but the fish were rising and bugs were plentiful. Kept my beer dunked in the river to keep it cold as the Clearwater is a spring fed river. Great fishing. Can't wait to get back again.
