I'm posting this report belatedly.
I returned home from it sunday last weekend - just in time to watch Stillers/Iggles.
Then took off again monday on a fall foliage drive with the little lady.
( as gulf greyhound posted in my thread about retiring, I guess things can still be quite busy)
Anyhow, I thought it still might be of some interest here.
I fished up there 4 days.
Thought I would take some advantage of the low flows caused by the work on the Cannonsville dam.
Since the WB was at a very low level - under 100CFS at one point - I fished the main stem at the junction hole the first two days.
I found some fish rising to BWO's and Iso's there.
I had planned on trying the WB on day 3. But with the work on the dam completed the day before, they opened the floodgates. And raised the level up to near 1,000 CFS in less than 24 hours.
Murking up the water pretty good, with lots of weeds, leaves, and sticks floating down
So I ended up back at the junction hole.
It had risen quite a bit - with a distinct brown line showing the joining point of the East and West branches. I still found some fish rising from that mud line on over to the NY side in the East branch water, which was clear.
Spent my last 2 days there too. It was really the only game around, unless I bought a NY license to fish the EB.
Ended up catching 3-4 fish a day on Iso's and BWO's.
Fighting wind just about every day, which calmed down during the last hour or two of daylight.
Several water checks ranged between 56 and 60 degrees
On a sidenote:
I fished the Lackawanna River saturday afternoon on my way back down from The Delaware
And found a few fish rising here and there to BWO's.
Catching mostly small fish - with a couple in the 12 inch range
