Deer Creek , Allegheny County Co., 3/18/2020

Took my kids to Deer Creek Delayed Harvest yesterday evening. Creek was very low and clear. Surprisingly, there were a handful of other anglers. Creek is loaded with stockies and some very big ones. Fished 5 to 7 until the rain got the best of the kids. Best part was they both wanted to get out of the house and were so happy to do it they were actually nice to each other. All fish were taken on a dry dropper rig with a beadhead wet fly as the dropper.

Nice to get out of the house and were were able to keep our distance from others and still have some fun.

You know for how close I am to Deer I haven't fished it yet, I just always head to Pine. Looks like I'll have to try out Deer sometime soon.
