Fished from 5:30-7:30 near the "dog park". Clear and fairly calm wind; water was clear and still low. Midges were about all I saw for bugs, and almost no risers. Starter off in a slow glide and picked up a couple bows on a caddis pupa and ant fished wet. The fish were quick and easy, to miss veterans of many bait and hardware attacks. Went upstream to the faster water and picked up a small brown in a deep run. Started fishing fast pockets, mostly shallow and moved a bunch of fish. Took some nice browns up to 13'', and found it amusing that the browns were lying in fast pocket water and most of the rainbows were in slower runs. Anyway it wasn't rocket science, just short line nymphing, but I still love that moment when you lift your rod to a wildly thrashing or jumping trout. Missed more than I got, but had a nice outing, capped off by some cheap drinks, and live music at the Polish Club across the street. Blew some harp and sang a few as well.
