Arrived at Stream X around 3:30pm. Water was crystal clear and sun was bright-making the fish VERY SPOOKY. The fish were actively feeding on top much to my delight. I had good success on a #22 Griffith's Gnat and #22 Cream Midge. Both flies were good for eight browns ranging from 6-13". Around 6pm, the sky got dark due to incoming storms so I switched to a #8 BH Yellow Eztaz Bugger. Where I was, casting was tight, but there was a ton of cover and some very large browns too boot. I managed two 16" copper toned browns to hand, three that were in the 12-14" range, and had several 20"+ browns chase the fly before the weather turned ugly. Though pollution is high here, I did see lots of YOY browns which is definitely encouraging. All in all, a great day. I'll be returning here Wed. evening with some even larger streamers...
