figured id give her a go.....no trout landed seen a few hiding under a log...lots of little bluegill a crappie and a small largemouth....better then nothing!

hey like ya said, better than nothing. Cool Spring isn't really anything to write home about outside of stockings. This past spring I had a 14 catch day there right above the big rock. Talked to Bob down at the neshannock fly shop and got the 411 on fall trout season. Stocking is to be done Oct. 1st. BTW I am also from greenville, hit me up this fall if ya wanna meet up, spit the #censor#, and rip some lips.

I felt the same way Sunday on Slippery Rock Creek. Caught a couple scrappy little shiners and no trout, but was still nice to be out in August with water temps in the mid-60s...

DanVerona, where abouts on Slippery Rock were you on Sunday? I was in the area and fished it a little bit(for bass) and only got one little smallie but then I switched to nymphs and got a good handful of chubs(nice ones too), along with a shiner or two.

I've gotten my share of bluegills and largemouths on Cool Spring, and it even has a handful of perch(Neshannock does too).

I parked at the bottom bridge (I think it's called Armstrong?), walked maybe a half mile downstream and then worked my way back-up. First time there so just wanted to get an idea of what to expect there. Really nice stream, enjoyed the two hours or so...

Any whites coming off SRC around sundown? I caught a decent amount 2 sundays ago, but then it got cold again and they stopped.
