Time Fished: 645pm - 845pm
Weather Conditions: 75 degrees, overcast, a few raindrops at times
Water Conditions: Forgot to take the temp; water was high and murky
Insects: no insects until about 830pm when I started to see Caddis and mayflies that were likely sulphurs. Saw about 5 rises. I left before the spinner fall.
Lots of rain today in a 2 hr radius so I opted for a lake fed stream as the most likely candidate to be fishable. It was running murky but had visibility. I ran 4 different streamers and landed 5 browns (all thick fish). Probably had about 20 strikes. Didn’t have as many chasing as I expected.
No one else was fishing while I was there although a fellow headed back to Cleveland (after fishing 2 stretches on Oil Creek).stopped to talk when I was pulling on my boots. He decided to drive home with the weather looking a little rough.
