I decided to scrap my plans at the last minute after walking the dog down in the park along the creek. There were a lot of splashy rises in the Connie beginning about 6:30 to some brown flies-the origin of which I'm not sure though they were about a size #12. I "think' they may have been some sort of fluttering caddis, but don't quote me on this. Anyway, I dropped the dog off back at the house and got my gear. I fished from the Rt. 34 bridge (Spring Rd.) all the way through the park. In sum, I caught 8 smallmouth bass 6-12", 13 fallfish 9-13" (these were pretty fun), 2 dink bluegills. Everything was on a #12 Brown Elk Hair Caddis. I skittered it across the surface wherever I saw a rise form and the fish just smacked the crap out of it. The action was pretty good for the 1.5 hours that I fished.
