Fished a 50 yard section of creek A mile or so from my home.

Caught to nice smallies about 13" or so on black popper with red eyes red legs and tail.

Missed. Another one and broke off a really nice one. Feels good to get out and get into some nice healthy smallies right in my back yard.

Fished for about one hour midday.

Not good at making poppers yet. So I'll have to go pick up some more for the summer. Can't beat fishin' for bass on top.

We have a new requirement for stream reports. The poster must phonetically describe the stream name.

Is this:

Kahn-a-wah-go

Kahn-a-way-go

Cone-way-go

or

Cone-wah-go?

Con~ah~wah~go

Slow moving, wide and shallow in most places with few riffle and holes. About 30-35 yards across and 2-3 feet deep in most places in my area of the stream.

Kind of like the con-no-doh-gwee-nay (Conodoguinet) in cumberland.

I think it's more like Con-a-da-gwin-it.

Dare we try the Conococheague?
