Fished the Conestoga River at Perelman Park last night from about 6:45pm-8:30pm. River gauge reading about 3.75, with a flow of about 300. 2 other guys fishing when I arrived, 1 fly fisherman & spin fisherman. For the first hour I was trying to go on top with a Stealth Bomber & a small foam popper. Had a couple hits, but they seemed like all tiny fish, so no hookups. There really wasn't much top-water action for me. Decided to switch up to brown Clouser Crayfish with a BB split shot about 6-inches up the line. About 3 casts later had an 8" smallie on the line. Had a few other hits drifting it along and landed another 10" smallie. Both had beautiful colors, no pics though, no camera last night. I didn't see too much action from the other guys, but the other fly fisherman was quite a way upstream, so tough to see.

First fishing outing in a few weeks due to work schedule & weather. I'm hoping to get out some more in the near future!
