Codorus TT Water, York County, Pa 10/17/13

Went to the trophy trout section of Codorus Creek.....Started around 11 AM and fished till 5 PM..Started out using Beadheaded Pheasant tails and did really well> Caught over 20 trout. Had 4 or 5 in the 13" to 15" range....Around 4 PM switched over to a tan elk hair caddis to fish to some rising trout and took 90 % of the risers on the caddis. Probably the best day I have had on this stream.

Wow, that's a great report, never underestimate the ol' bead head pheasant tail

Spent about an hour at Brown Rd today and caught 2 four inch Browns then a pickup truck full of dogs pulled up. The dogs proceeded to romp and play in the stream. It was not a problem since I was just finishing up at the bridge. I've encountered these dogs several times and while they disrupt fishing they are comical to watch.

las - if those dogs show up while you're ffishing, just go downstream and ffish nymphs. They're doing the San Juan Shuffle for you.

Was there with TimRobinson yesterday. Yup, your post above about sums it up. The BHPT produced like fish crack... I'm sure if we waited a bit, the topwater caddis action would have produced as well. Some small 16/18(ish) caddis fluttering in the early afternoon. Very productive couple hours on a beautiful fall afternoon.

I fish this stream a lot (sawmill area), where is that pix taken?

Yes, that stretch if faster water for the length of that embankment holds a substantial number of fish at time based on the numbers of follows, strikes, and catches that I had there one evening in late June this year on a Rapala.
