31 degrees out but i saw 4 cars parked to fish. Guess everybody wants their first fish of the year. One dink in an hour of fishing on a #20 SOS Hilga. Took my lab with me and she totally oblivious to the cold. Swam, ran and brought me sticks.

they were bred to retrieve from icy Canadian waters. The English variety have even denser coats and higher (low) temperature tolerance. High temp tolerance, not as much so from my experience.

Codorus has become a difficult stream to fish with the persistent low water the past several years. It's not the same stream it used to be.

Been skunked there the last two weekends, nary a bump. Can't figure it out. Tried a variety of nymphs from 14 to 20 and water was at decent levels. ????

That population specifically in the special reg area (but not outside) was consistently one of the most dense populations of smallish BT that I had ever sampled. Another one was another York Co stream that’s a named trib to N Br Muddy Ck. Big numbers of trout don’t guarantee good fishing or even a tap or hit.
