Fished the Codorus today with jdaddy and jasonS coming all the way out for Freedom Jam.

Caught some nice looking wild brownies today. Most of them on the small side, but creek is fishin ok and it was a good day for me to be out on a stream.

Was there this evening and caught a handful small brownies. I turned over a large one in that log jam just down from the bridge. Couldn't tell what it was but it flashed like it could have been a rainbow.

Sulphers were coming off sporadically. I wouldn't say there was really a hatch and I was getting trouts on a light tan bead head hare's ear. Water was cold as always and there were five anglers on the stream on Sunday. Jdaddy cursed the sun later in the day as we had started out with some clouds and light rain. Trout were had immediately upon arrival. Apparently my crayfish pattern took some trout. I had no success with the craysih on Sunday. My hares ears have a bit of a buggy soft hackle look to them and they are usually money.

I guess I'm not being fair. Wouldn't be a proper stream report without a wild brown pic.

I fished there last evening. It is too bad that the browns have gotten so skinny over the years.
