Managed to get out yesterday evening for about two hours. Stream was a little crowded, counted eight people fishing. Fished above the sawmill property for the first time. I do not believe there is any "bad" water in this creek.

Still having some issues with keeping the fish hooked but managed to bring four fish to hand. Largest was 12" that I picked up with a cast under an overhanging tree. Had 10 other fish hit the tan caddis with cdc underwing but alas, missed them. I talked to two lady fishers on my way out and they said they had luck with scuds and a chartruese (sp?) streamer.

A side note, I saw three of the largest mayflies ever drift past me. They were about 3/4" long, cream colored with dark patches on their backs. The wings were mottled with a touch of yellow in them. Any ideas what they were? I have never seen a mayfly this big so late in the season.

I fished the Codorus, Saturday evening for about two hours. I made the mistake of fishing down under for the first hour and half, with not a fish. Switched over to a EHC and got four fish in about 25 minutes.
Man, the browns are beautiful right now in their spawning colors!

I too have seen that mayfly on the creek. It's usually only two or three that come floating past, I've never really seen a "hatch" come off. I'd like to know what they are too, maybe a drake?
