I fished the Cocalico from about 2:30-3:30 where the Hammer dumps in. The normal great hole is no longer there but now there is a huge hole just up from there. It had to be 10 ft deep at places. Water clarity was good. I didn't see a fish. I am always amazed at the amount of gravel and clean stone visible in this area. Also tons of silt. There were some small gray mayflies coming off and a few larger ones that looked a lot like quill gordens but no way the Cocalico could support them. There were also some brown caddis and midges.

Next, I headed to Lititz Run. There were a lot of people fishing the Hess Meadow so I went down to the area below the bridge and parked at the Coby building. I had never fished here. Interesting water that was very fast and bank full. I did miss one on a blue clauser. Fished a black bugger at the Cocalico as well as the Clauser. Beautiful day out and the Warwick/Ephrata rail/trail was packed!

I was wondering if anyone has fished this part of Lititz Run. A number of springs dump in here with a bunch of watercress. I would guess this area may be a refuge area during the summer. Also wondering if anyone has fished the area from 272 on down to the Conestoga.
