Clarks Creek, Special Regs, Dauphin County, March 11, 2013

Got out Saturday morning (3/23) for a little. Fished about a 1/4 mile up from the barn in the regs section. Did well on small nymphs. Found a big stonefly which i haven't seen before. I usually only find small mayfly nymphs, mostly the clingers. I'm gonna try some big stones out w/in the next 2 weeks i think out there.

I used to help stock Stony up past the gate. Stock periodically up to 8 miles back with a float at almost every stocking point. Easily the toughest stock I ever helped with. I have also witnessed amish riding outta there with fish tails sticking out of the baskets on their bikes. Better than on a wild trout stream anyway. They're so focused on money that they have to eat enough trout to make the license a value, and have told me such to my face.

I didn't realize there were Amish around that area. I'm surprised they bother with a license.

Yes I have traveled back the gate a bunch of times and even drove through when they used to open it up. Never saw an Amish. Weird. Well in any route they throw em in there for you to catch them outta there.

Clarks is my favorite place to use the 2 weight with tiny foam ants.

I'll be just about goin' crazy to get up there in about 90 days from now, lol. ;-)
