Fished the fly water after work. The mosquitos had a feast until I was able to put some deet on. Periodic rising but I wasn't sure what they were hitting. I put on an outrageous cicada pattern in hopes I might find a dumb fish. One nudge but that was it. I haven't noticed many cicadas around this area. tried some beetles and ants. After several flies in the trees I decided to go subsurface and put on the sucker spawn. I caught 3 in row then missed a few more before dark. I was surprised because the flow in the stream was very slow and I figured the fish would not be biting very well because of it.

Yeah I have not noticed any around here either, I live two valleys over from clarks but have not seen or heard one in dauphin county. I saw a bunch flying over the road in lancaster county the other day and there are loads of them in centre/mifflin county. Not sure what the deal is.

That is a cool website, I reported the lack of cicadas in my area. I was really looking forward to it, I even tied up a bunch of them in hopes of seeing them. I had heard and seen them up at Penns the last month or so, but there were really none on the water.

If memory serves me correctly, 2013 should be stupid with them at Clarks, and they were eating the heck outta' them back in '96.
