I had my best day ever on Clarks. I fished below the dam. I got on the stream around 1:30 pm. There was a lot of water in the creek. It ran bank to bank, but fairly clear. The water temperature was 61. The air temp ran north of 76. I saw no noticeable hatches. Saw an occasional caddis. There were very few rising fish. I caught over eight fish, mostly on dark, size 16 bead head nymphs fished under a big dry. Some of the fish were over 12 inches. I took 2 on the size 12 dry being fished as a strike indicator. You gotta love those brookies! Lost a monster brown, who toyed with me for over three minutes. Left around 6:00 pm and saw no hatch of any kind. There were only a couple of other fisherman on stream all afternoon. What a great day.
