I fished Clarks today beginning at 1:30. I put in just below the AT. The stream was up bug clear and fishable. The air temp was about 62 and the water temp about 50. There was a good hatch and later a spinner fall. Looked like BWO's size 16 and rusty spinners later. There was also some caddis activity. There were a good number of rising fish. I brought 7 to hand mostly on size 16 comparadun with an antron tail. Also took two in PHT nymphs. The fish looked unmarked and healthy. I could swear they were not stocked, but am not certain. The hatch ended at 4:30 pm, but the fish continued to short strike a size 12 thorax adams with cut wings.
A very good day for my first day out for 2014
