Been fishing Clark's Creek most evenings after work since the weather finally broke. The stocking in March was sort of hit or miss from what I understand, as on the date of the stocking, most of the stream was still iced over and so the fish were dumped in wherever they could access the stream with the truck and find an opening in the ice. Last year the first stocking was a problem due to ice and snow as well. Perhaps some thought might be given to pushing the first stocking back to early April....just a thought. At any rate, it seems that based on how the stocking took place, the fish are concentrated in certain areas and not others.
I have been catching fish on a very small grey cdc midge for the most part, and a few on a cdc black stone fly (#16) and a few on small nymphs on droppers. The last few times, the fish have been pretty picky.
I saw some Hendricksons on the Breaches Sunday, so it wont be long now on Clarks.
