Clarks Creek, Dauphin Co., 9/7/2009

Fished from 2-7p.m. Fished the open water. Lost count of landed fish. Some nice holdover and native browns and a few brookies. Took all on a large blk ant, black beetle and most of the fish took the green weenie dropper off the dry. I didn't see another person the entire day. Water was a little low, but I've seen lower levels and the water is cold. As usual, the skeeters were trying to bite me!

Glad you had luck there, I couldn't find a fish anywhere on Clarks, Monday morning. My buddy and I fished above the FFO parking area from 8:30 till about 1:30. I missed the only strike I had. Fished black ants, crane fly, black wooly bugger, and BHpheasant tail nymph. Only hit came on the nymph.
The water was the lowest I've ever seen it but I've only fished Clarks a handful of times and usually only during or after a good rain.

I fished Clark's above the reservoir on Thursday afternoon. Started around 1:30 pm and had to leave around 3:00. Fished 16-18 elk wing caddis only. Saw only 1 rising trout. I took 4 browns between 4 - 10 inches. A really nice stretch. If I have the breath, I will return. Thanks to MattB for the information!!!!

I was a little surprised. I expected the stream to be very narrow and rocky. I did not expect the long glassy pools with sandy bottoms. I spooked up some fish while wading. This website really works for me.

The water levels were a little low, water quality clear, nothing hatching and no rising fish. Did not take the water temp. No other fisherman seen.
