WT was 54 at 6:30 AM. Fished the open section near the App. Trail. Stream is getting low as the dam is 1" below the overflow, but the water is cooler without the extra water from the top of the res. Used a large adams on top with the usual weenie tied off the bend. One fish took the adams and caught several more on the weenie. A nice mix of wild and stockers. Quit at 1:30. Not much rising but they are there. BTW I spooked a very large pickerel in the deepest pools in that stretch, he was at least 25".

Dang, that Pickerel must have made quite a trip to get down that far. Nice report, was thinking about going up there this week sometime, maybe weds/thurs supposed to be very nice!

Last year at this time I was fishing that same spot and walked up to the trail sign there and saw a rattlesnake the length of my leg right under it..

Fished Clarks this evening, black ant with a flashback hares ear dropper. Managed to catch 5 and missed a few. Damn that 7X makes it a lot harder to bring them in. 16 inch brownies landed that was beautiful.

Did you get the 16" brownie on the ant or the dropper?

Funny how "its hard to bring them in on 7X" but you landed a 16"er.

Must be doing sumpthin right.

On the dropper. There was a few fish hitting emergers so I threw a dropper on. I was able to get him to a real nice slow area after praying that 7X wouldn't snap. It really impressed the heck out of me.
