Clarks Creek, Dauphin Co. 5/20/09

Can't believe this was my first trip to Clarks this year!

Stopped at the gun range, fished from 1:00 till 4:00. Water was in great shape, didn't take the temp. Some midges on the water thats about it. Landed 8 fish, 3 with # 18 BiVis and the rest with #16 orange ant.

Like I said first time there since I fell last year and busted up my shoulder, I did avoid the hill where I fell!

Dang Paul, I was at work :-(. I might get to hit Rattling or the Wiconisco Tuesday if you're into it. I have to pick up my dog at the kennel in Gratz between 9 and 11, so I might go early(7ish) until I have to leave. Let me know if you'll be around.

Good for you paul. You looked like a different man this year. Good to see you're coming along well and getting out there!

I have about 10 WMDs in my box. I think I'm going to try them tomorrow. You get the assist on any fish caught.

Dang Paul, only midges?
I'm guessing it was simply the wrong time of day. I was about a 1/2 mile upstream from 6:00pm on. March Browns, yellow caddis, slate drakes and others. And then the spinnerfall of what I guess were quills? One of the buggiest days for me up there.
Glad you got back up there. The stream probably hasn't been feeling right without you. 🙂

If either of you hit the Wic, could you post how you did? I have fished the Wic and Mahantango this year, some success on the Wic with Thunder Creeks, the Mach was another story nothing solid.

I did want to go up that evening to see about the hatches but had to be home in the evening, sounds like you had a great time, sorry I missed it,maybe this weekend! You going to be around?
