Is Dresden Lake still a lake? From aerial imagery it looks there is brushy vegetation there, not water.

I haven't fished Stony Creek very much. But I vaguely recall catching a few small brookies near Cold Spring Rd. I hope my memory is correct.

Even on the mainstem Delaware and its branches? 😉

There'll be nothing left except for shad, suckers, fallfish, and the occasional 60-pound striped bass cleaning house on the Junction pool.

lol, yes, I forgot that. Aren't they also invasive to the Susquehanna? I remember quite a few years ago there was a grass roots coalition to get rid of all the "invasive trout species in the Madison. Meaning all the rainbows and browns in an attempt to bring back a cutthroat fishery. I've caught cutthroat in the Madison in YNP but never out of the parl.

I had not heard of such a grass roots coalition, did they have a name? It seems the Madison may be slowly getting rid of wild invasive brown trout on its own along with many other Montana streams.

They are willing to advocate for a “crisis”task force and state of emergency for invasive brown trout lol, but not the last struggling fluvial populations grayling in the lower 48, bull trout, cutthroats…….amazing.

Smallmouth are invasive in every stream in PA that isn't in the Ohio River drainage -- and I'm not for a moment suggesting we get rid of them.

I've caught exactly two cutthroat in the Madison just below Three Dollar Bridge where a feeder comes in (as opposed to dozens of browns and rainbows at the same location.)

Fished the lower section of the FFO section today, caught a few trout, tons of fall fish, saw enough fish to keep me interested until I ran into a 100 tree blow down.

Dresden Lake hasn't been a lake for a very long time. Flooding wiped it out I think in the 60's 70's. It still has an interesting meandering stream (Stoney) running through it. That section is hard hit by the bait fisherman in April.
Stoney has good trout fishing. Very few fishermen after the spring opener. Miles to explorer. Hard to fish.

Any size to the fall fish? I have gotten some nice chubby 10” fall fish in there jigging streamers

Biggest was probably 10 inches, most were 5-6 but very receptive to dries, couldn't keep them off my line, I'd love to see underwater go-pro footage amongst those massive blow downs, fish die of old age in there

Me too probably a ton of fish living in them, those are fun sizes of fall fish to go after with a light weight dry fly set up. I jigged some trout out from in front of those deadfalls earlier this year during some high water thats the time to do it for sure. Can get real close and let it drift under em on the front end and just dangle them under there and they always get mugged
