Headed out to Clarks yesterday, it poured so hard on the way there, cars were pulled off of 83, 81, and 322 because you just couldn't see to drive faster than 30 m.p.h. I figured I'd just fish closer to the dam because the water would be clearer, I was right. On the way up through the water was chocolate milk but cleared upsteam near the dam.
I brought my big camera but left it in the truck mostly because of rain. I felt a little squirrely so I tied on a mickey fin and missed a small wild brown with it, then proptly lossed it. I had some follows with an olive beadhead bugger. I found some great vegetation in a few spots so I switched to crayfish and scuds. I also used some soft hackle hears ears.
Ended up catching three brookies, two on a crayfish and one on a molded rubber-like translucent scud pattern. I got soaked but it was a good day.
