Was very pleased with 9 trout to hand. Considering 5 kayaks came down the creek, I was pretty happy. Ofcourse it kept the wilds away as all were stockie or holdover.
Not sure when they're gonna spray but theres still alot of bugs.
Most common was lime green caddis.

Squaretail - it was a pleasure meeting you the other day! Unfortunately Saturday didn't turn out as well for me, everything that could have gone wrong did. Missed two fish on a foam body caddis, slipped on some mud and fell in up to my neck, and got eaten alive by mosquitoes.....oh well, maybe next time. Was the water still off color/high yesterday?
 
Matt, no kidding whatsoever. Hoping they just got mudded out of the Susky and went to the nearest clear water.
Same to you marine. Water was barely colored, but the skeeters werent fooling around. Thing is, that always seems to be the best time for rising fish.
Dont feel bad, my buddy fell in for the first time in over 20 yrs last night as well. Only he went FACE first! 🙂
 
Who was it that went in face first? Mark? Jeff? Bruce? I know it's mean but the visual of someone going in face first is still funny as Hell, as long as they don't get hurt. And yes, even if it's me, after I make sure all my bones are in place and all my skin is in one piece, it's impossible not to laugh my *** off. I wonder why that's so funny.....

I saw those Kayaks on the top of car across from the shooting range. Those turkeys actually floated in the fly area? I can't see how you could go very far without getting out;there are numerous dead falls and log jams through out the stream. To each their own, but doesn't seem to me like a very enjoyable afternoon to portage Clark Creek every hundred yards.

. It runs 24 bucks at bass pro shop. Using it maybe a little pricey, but I have tried all sorts of repellents at Clarks to no avail. I didn't get a single bite after turning this sucker on. You can buy the holster which allows to hang it off a limb or latch to your waders or vest.

I never mind sharing the water, but that's what I was talking about. I've often thought about how cool it would be to yak a tiny stream if it's way blown out, but other than that it would just be a pain.
