Clarks Creek, 9/23/2009

Fished Clarks with a buddy of mine.... Water was cold and clear as usual. Caught a ton of fish!! Nice mix of brookies, rainbows, and of course the infamous browns! I attached some pics for you guys to check out. I would suggest taking a ride over here if anyone wants a chance at a monster brown. I saw about 6 throughout the day, but was only able to take 1 that topped the 20" mark. Most of the fish took streamers and grasshopper patterns. Caught the big boy on a bh green weenie... I took the Rainbow at the top of the FFO section and was working my way upstream.. The browns were mostly up further, and were almost right on the bank. Caught them finning in the shallow water, and was casting upstream about 25 yards to them. The smaller brown in the pic took a streamer, and all I could see was a big "V" coming through the water before he swirled on it! It was probably the best day I've had out there in years. Not one fish was under 14"...

All the fish are nice but that first brown is top notch!

amazing, im guessing clarks creek holds alot of hogs?

Those big browns move into Clarks from the reservoir to spawn. Practice Catch and Release this time of year.

The big browns would only be moving upstream of the res. From his description these would be between the dam and FFO section. Plenty of fish to be had on the whole stream pretty much.
