Thought I would add my report to what others have added. It seems many of us were on Clarks Sunday as it had some nice water to fish while other streams were blown out. I ended up fishing some open water below the fly area. Fish a nice section I had not been on before. Landed 5 with a few LDR's....it is tough setting the hook with the fast moving water and your fly rod stuck in the hemlocks above you...lol.
Anyway I only fished on top and caught fish on Beetles, WMD Ant & EHC. All and all a nice morning and I never saw another person in the area I fished. Don't forget the open water....

Bill, I have been hitting the open water and finding it more enjoyable than the FFO. definitely not as crowded. I was in the fly area for a few hours Saturday and left disgusted as it seemed like opening day in the section I was fishing. SUnday I went to the open water and saw NO ONE!

is the area by the barn still posted? i drove past a little after they stocked since i like to fish under the bridge that you drive over, or a a little upstream from that...... However it was all posted and I was a little salty about it

I fished clarks for the first time on the 30th.Caught my first fish on a dry fly, an awesome experience! fished in the ff section. Where is this open water you guys speak of ?

Almost the entire creek is open except the FFO and the section Odizz speaks of, which last I saw was still posted. From the FFO clear upstream to about 200 yds downstream Deihart dam is all open water and legal to fish. Decent amount of water there.
