Fished Clark's Creek this afternoon for a couple hours. Everything else around here is high and brown so we headed north. Clark's was off colored down near 225 but the farther upstream we went, the clearer the water. We ended up fishing about 100 yards upstream from the FFO section parking area. Started raining as we were setting up our rods and putting on the waders.
I decided to fish deep with wooly buggers and had a hit the first cast. Caught a smallish brown, maybe 10" on the second cast and then a few casts later hooked and released a brown about 16" Caught both on an olive wooly bugger. Had several other hits on a brown bugger. My fishing partner caught a nice brookie on a wet fly.
Lastly, while driving along Clark's Valley Road, we damn near ran into a black bear. He was standing in the middle of the road, then just ran to the side where he stood looking at us. My Nikon was in the trunk so no photos.
