So far my only large wild browns at Clarks were 16 3/4" and 18 3/8. That in 3 yrs of pretty heavy fishing. TodayI added this one at
17 1/8 on a sculpin. Saw her before a few times including last year.
She was kinda chasing a couple stockies out of her turf and I did the old "cast where she aint" and merely wait for her to come into the zone. Couple baby twitches later I saw that big white mouth engulf something and I set the hook hoping it was my fly. Doesnt always work but today it did. Tried my crayfish last time I met up with her and she ignored it.
Its a shame you cant quite see the dark red slashs on the top and bottom of her tail, but you can just see it on her adipose. Made my day. Thanks God.

Wow! That some beautiful brown. Congratulations on a fine fish!
 
Nice one Squaretail. That beastie has some beefy shoulders. I bet it was a good struggle getting that one in.
