Fished the special reg section of the Clarks yesterday afternoon. I had hoped to see some midge activity. I saw no midges, maybe because it was noticeably chillier under the tree canopy there. Water temp was 42. I did land 2 browns on a zebra midge and 1 dull colored brookie on a hares ear in a deep hole, all in the 10-14 inch range. One other fighter from the same hole shook itself off my hook. My first fish of the year.

Nice job STONEMAN!!! I really love Clarks Valley and I need to make a better effort to get up there this spring. Thanks for the report.

Wow, that's like a Coney island style brownie...long and bun-size skinny

Great way to start the year(nice fish). I know what you mean by the cold down under that canopy, the reason I usually don't go there till the weather warms.

Did you fish the reg area?
