Got off work , picked up the dog and met some friends at Clarks. Very muggy though none of that infamous fog made an appearance. I had two on caddis till about an hour before dark. By the time I left I was up to 13 with lots of trout still rising. I could only see a few on a strip of reflection on the water from being so dark, but I could hear them rising all around me. I caught a few by casting in the direction of the sipping noises rather than casting at rings on the surface.
Its not what it has been in years past, but I did have natural air conditioning and for once this year I didnt leave somewhat disgusted.
I hit the only section of the FFO that didnt have vehicles at it. Best was a 15" brookie at dark on a #12 Ausable? Yellow caddis, few March Browns and a lone Drake.
