The river was pink yesterday,full of pulp and stunk ,parking lot guy did you see anything, despite that my buddy caught 2 big brownies

Doesn't matter DEP DOESN'T CARE,, they've been called ,come out talked to witnesses,refused witnesses testimonys refused water samples from the community etc etc etc,they are however coming out to electro shock sometime before August to determine if any fish kill took place,BLAH BLAH BLAH,no one is invited to watch or participate in the matter,

We've beat this dead horse so many times, DEP doesn't respond in time ,they don't listen to the public, don't listen to locals who live on the river,no pictures were taken as it's really a waste of time ,I wasn't there the other day but my friend is a float guide on that section of River he lives there and has spent more breath talking to DEP and the fish comm over this subject than most would bother doing,

Maybe just maybe if I started posting some pictures on this site it may draw enough attention, however pictures of water conditions are really hard to discern ,light refraction, ambient sunlight etc etc,DEP said one time that the picture just looked like a rain event to them, and also were talking about a discharge that lasts an hr or 2 in the middle of the night or early morning,it might be a half mile to a mile long and deleted way before they show up,3 yrs ago the Friday before memorial day they discharged and didn't come out till Tuesday,that thing was in the Mississippi River by then, total shame they don't really care ,ask parking lot guy he'll tell you

Tellin ya go to senator scott hutchinsons district office ..make a appoitment..you will have to obviousley go through his secretary or who ever.. they like hearing from their constituents. Get a face to face sit down meeting it may take a few days...but you will get one...my wife sits down on a regular basis with our local representitave and airs her greivences to get things rolling...skip the dep pfbc plcb etc. Go right to senate office first then atleast plant that seed

perhaps the Clarion needs its version of the LJRA. The LJRAs (and Bill's) relationships with WCOs and local authorities and its track record brings credibility. I am not saying what people are reporting is untrue. Get to know them and demonstrate your passion and knowledge and you might get faster movement. I've heard/read things from fisherman and people in general, that if I was a WCO, I'd be skeptical.
The path is through WCOs and conservation groups to interact with DEP. DEP is tackling many issues, much greater than smells on rivers and discoloration. It's just reality.

If I could I would,I can't leave the house for more than a half day at a time,these 2 hr trips to fish for 4-5 hrs then drive 2 hrs back aren't all that fun these days
