I fished the main stem of Chester Creek today from 3 to about 430. There were some midges in the air and on the water about a size 20 but no rises. When I got there all the best stocked areas were covered with gear fisherman so I was stuck trying to find other productive water to fish. I combed a nice section with a CDC Elk and a green weenie dropper that would have been a great area if they were wild fish but only stockies is stream. I landed three and lost 2 on the weenie. I would of stayed longer but I guess the gear guys seen me catch a few and started to crowd me in LOL.
