Fished from about 10- 4. Water was a little high with a slight tinge, and 61degrees late in the day. Mixed sun and clouds with a good breeze at times. Started with three landed and the same rolled in the first run; about fifty feet from my truck. Went upstream and caught a pretty nice bow and hooked a nice brown briefly; apparently he didn't know that Browns don't jump. Fished back down through the first run and landed another, then two more in the shallow glide below that. I was killing time waiting for my buddy to arrive; but he managed to get well downstream without seeing me. (Man; I said I would be near my truck!). Anyway he was fishing a big flat run and we both caught and missed a bunch there. There were a few risers and I made a short attempt with a dry with no success, but there really wasn't any kind of hatch either. Back to indicator and weight, plus a bead head and a dropper. (5X-6X) Fishing was ok til the sun popped out and then we both went on a pretty good run hooking and missing a bunch of fish between us. After we got bored with that, I rolled two more in a super fast riffle, and then we fished into a nice pool where we hooked about four more; I landed two including a Tiger Trout, my first of the season. The next blazing riffle gave me a nice trout coming and going plus my friend rolled one too. Final riffle gave me another nice fish plus I hooked and lost another. Best fish was a 15''brown with unusual markings; not a true Tiger( IMO) but some elongated spots. The stringer slingers were in evidence but didn't bother us, and didn't appear to be doing much damage either. Would have like to have gone farther from home but........Anyway a pretty nice day, especially considering it was a holiday.
