Arrived a little after 3pm and fished for a few hours. It was cool and breezy; mostly sunny skies. Other than midges there wasn't much bug action; a few smaller caddis and no fish rising. The first stretch I tried had just been hit by a father son team, and a fly fisher, as well. The stream was running better than it has been and the water looked tasty so I gave it a shot. Hooked or rolled about ten and landed half. The best fish hit a sunken ant that I had just twitched lightly; 14'' brown. Moved my truck downstream a bit, and short lined some of the best pocket water in the stream. Took a mix of browns and rainbows, and lost several as well. Oh, the water was a nice temp; 60. Only used three flies; the usual caddis pupa, and sz. 16 and 18 ant. Not bad for suburban fishing......
