Fished for a few hours after work. The stream was clear and 52, mostly midges and crane flies, with a few caddis. Cloudy with rain mixing in, air was in the fifties. Stream was loaded with fish, but also with anglers, mostly your typical chebbs. They generally seemed intent on killing as many fish as possible, though I talked to one young guy who was releasing all his fish, and he was lethal with his home brewed pellet bait. Found a few spots to myself, though it seemed like whenever I started catching fish it got more crowded. Had a few light moments; landing a fat 15 in. rainbow in the fast water below the main "meat hole" was one. I soon followed that up with a twenty in. brown in a super fast run. He had a huge no. 3 Super Vibrax spinner in his tail. Even though he may not last long, I turned him loose. To summarize; got damp and tired but landed some large fish; two were actually the heaviest for this season. After next week end the pressure should ease up, and hopefully there will be some good dry fly action. Some riser did show today, though I caught the two biggest fish on size 18 ants fished as a dropper. (wet)

Did you meet that pellet bait guy fishing in the parking lot across the gym ? If you did I remember talking to that guy like 5 years agao when I was still chucking spinners .

Actually, it was just upstream from there. The "meat hole" I referred to is right there, though.
