Yesterday I hit an eventual tributary of Spring Creek with my brother-in-law as well as another unknown stream on the way back down Rt. 322. Both streams are limestone spring creeks and overlooked by everyone on their way to Spring Creek. Water levels were very good however the weather was another story. The wind made things almost unbearable but we were in the area visiting friends at PSU anyway so we gave a shot...We only fished for about an hour at each place using BH Yellow Eztaz and Black Buggers. Between us, we managed 5 fish with the biggest going about 12"-all wild browns with nice coloration. We even stopped to check out Spring Creek in Houserville Park for a few minutes but the water was shallow and the fish we did see were extremely spooky so we passed on it. I'm going back up to the area this weekend as the weather looks like it will be more conducive to what I want to do.
