I arrived at Stream #1 around 9am. Water was crystal clear and slightly up a bit. No surface activity to speak of in spite of the warm temps. I managed close to a dozen wild browns ranging from 9-15" on #16 BH Princes and #16 Flashback Scuds. After hitting private property, I left for Stream #2. Here, I managed to hook a 24"+ rainbow, which I had on for all of two minutes before it ran me into a submerged log and broke my 6x tippet. I put on another #14 BH Green Weenie and caught 4 wild browns ranging from 9-12". Again, after hitting private property, I left for Limestoner #3. This place changed alot since I was last here. Someone removed the dam and opened up the flow considerably, which should bode well for the future. I did not do as well here, and there was evidence left behind that it had been visited recently from those of the darkside. I still managed 1 wild brown about 9" and 5 wild rainbows ranging from 5-9"-all on #16 BH Princes. It was a beautiful day to be out, though I wished there would have been more surface activity. For me, there is nothing like fishing dries...

Could you tell me where the dam removal was, and do you think the trout holding habitat looks better or worse than before? I have an interest in habitat topics. If you wish to keep the stream name private, maybe you could pm me. Thanks.
