Central Adirondacks near the village of Indian Lake. Fished from 11 am till 2 pm. Air Temp. Mid 50sF. Water temp 59 F. Water very clear and low for this time of year. Despite the low water, the wading was strenuous as the bed is composed of something like greased bowling balls. This river is stocked by the NYDEC though the stocking points are few and far between. We were perhaps 2 miles below the nearest possible point. The fishing was extremely slow. I caught one 10 inch wild brook trout in 3 hours of fishing. A few caddis flying around here and there. No rising fish. Beautiful scenery
