After fishing the LL creek I went to the Class A section of Cedar Creek in the park. Arrived around noontime.
The water was low and clear but no water temp taken. The fish were extremely spooky and the creek is loaded with suckers.
No real insect activity but I found a few risers here and there. Difficult fish to catch and the slightest miscue will put them down.
In 1 hour time I landed one brown about 10" long (fought like crazy) while fishing a #18 griffiths gnat on a 6x tippet. Had 3 or 4 other hits on the griffiths gnat but these fish hit and spit really quickly.
This is a fun little creek to fish. The only problem is it seems like every person who is walking in park is so intrigued by someone fly fishing that they just have to come and stand right next to the creek right where you're tossing your fly. I found I had to politely inform all my fishing fans to please don't walk by the stream or you'll scare the fish. I would just tell them if they wanted to watch, please stand here.
