Agreed 100%. The current flow is 555 cfs. Too much water for safe wading. The turbidity is at 42. Very stained. I like 0 - 15 on the turbidity scale.

In Erie the leaves are dropping and the streams are getting a large run of leave trout the later part of this week. Big wind event coming later this week also.

the catt has fish all the way up in the zoar valley.

Regarding many sections of the Zoar Valley and the canyons - if somehow I was able to get down to the river I'd need a helicopter to come and get me out! Just too steep for a septuagenarian.

We frogged around there for 3-4 hours with a GPS trying to get to the river. Found a winding steep road down to a nice parking lot on a good looking spot on the creek. It was well below the dam and was empty of fishermen. Moose had one strike a White Wooly Bugger.Nice water no fish. I'd be hard pressed to find that spot again. GG

GG that spot was on the south branch a mile from the main catt. have fished there quite a few times working down. I can't fish the zoar anymore because of my legs and heart. last time I did a couple guys waited to see if I was ok coming back up.
It was nice of them to wait.
