Great pics! That did look like a toad fish,and the small guy was a pin fish, aka: sailors choice, best bait fish in this area.Everything from kingfish to snook to sharks will eat them.Florida is the Fishing Capitol of the World and the proof is in your photos.The best thing about our fishing is that when you cast a fly or a bait you don't know what you might hook;could be a minnow or a monster.If we had mountains and trout fishing it would be the total package.
